The Challenges
Bill contacted iSigma for a challenging project for his local Chamber of Commerce. According to Bill “There will be a lot of pressure to perform at a very high level on this. If it’s good I will be a hero if it’s bad I may not be able to leave my house.” So it was very challenging job for the team to full fill the requirements and finish the job with satisfied and happy client. The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, a private non-profit corporation, was seeking a partner to re-envision and build a new website for www.lndianRiverChamber.com. They were not happy with the present site. Their previous site was having hard look with very old style design.
They were also looking for guidance and recommendations regarding site architecture and functionality that will incorporate state-of-the art programming along with intuitive navigation so website visitors can easily access information. So overall goal of this project was to attract more members and to reach more people in the business community.
Project Delivery
Since client was very demanding and was looking for out of the box website, and we did detailed analysis of the requirements and client’s expectation regarding the website. Since client want to go with purchased Template based approach so one of the initial challenge for the team was to get rid of template look of the site. Design team worked very hard to customize the theme in a way so it should look totally custom designed website and at other hand theme should not customized in terms of coding. So we want to preserve the default coding technique of the template.
Next challenge for the team to match the inner page layouts of the template to match with new Homepage skin. Team did very well and developed listing and detail page templates for Locations.
One of the other main challenge was to integrate the website with Trip Advisory so website can connect with Trop Advisory API and display the list of related Restaurants and Hotels to the respective location that user visit in the website. There was no plugin available for this and team did a custom API connection script to grab the list of Restaurants and Hotels. We went extra mile to achieve this task and also communicated with Trip Advisor API Support team. And finally we got the API connected and site was populated with Hotels and Restaurants on location detail page.
Results:
With all great efforts from the Design and Development Teams, we completed this project with flying colours. Client was very amazed with the output and the final product. It’s being a 3-4 years and website is doing really great and justifying its purpose as a Official Visitor Bureau for Indian River County. Since it was our 1st project with the client and he was so happy with the overall quality and output of the website, so we are one of the best service vendor to him. After successful launch of the website, client awarded us SEO and maintenance of this website for next 2 years.
